Energy?, provides
Integrated Brown Field Services
for the upstream O&G
industry and specialist services for
the petrochemical and general
industries. The Company is listed on the Main

HOW IT BEGAN
It began when
Petra Resources Sdn Bhd (“PRSB?,
was formed in 1988 to undertake trading activities for
the upstream oil and gas industry.
In the same year, PRSB became a
licensed vendor to PETRONAS.
Over the years, PRSB systematically
developed its resource capabilities
in maintenance and operations for
the brown field sector, and secured significant
contracts from oil majors like ExxonMobil, Talisman
Malaysia, Nippon Oil Malaysia,
Sarawak Shell, Sabah Shell and
PETRONAS Carigali.
To support its growing brown
field activities, Petra Fabricators
Sdn Bhd (“PFSB? was formed in April
1997 to provide equipment packaging
and fabrication services.
In 1995, Petra Perdana, a holding
company, was incorporated as part of
a strategy to strengthen the Group’s
domestic activities. In 2000, Petra
Perdana acquired the entire equity
stakes of PRSB and PFSB, and was
subsequently listed on the 2nd Board
of the Securities Exchange. Petra
Perdana’s listing was transferred to
the Main Board of the Exchange in
January 2003.
In 2004, and in line with the
continuing growth and expansion of
the upstream oil and gas industry,
Petra Perdana apart from providing
integrated brown field services,
expanded its business scope to
include offshore marine services.
In an effort to streamline the
company's growing
business activities, Petra Energy Berhad
("Petra Energy") was
formed in 2005. Petra Energy assumed
control of
the integrated brown field business
by acquiring the equity stakes of
both PRSB and PFSB. The Company was
subsequently listed on the Main
Board of the Securities Exchange in
July 2007.
Today,
Petra Perdana is involved in
offshore marine services, while
Petra Energy focuses on integrated brown field.
