The Group upholds the importance of
health and safety of the local
community. In recent years, there
has been an alarming increase in
abuses involving young children e.g.
kidnapping and child sexual abuse.
Given this scenario, the Group, in
collaboration with ‘Protect & Save
the Children’ (P.S the Children - an
NGO), implemented a pilot project,
which involved assessment of young
school children as well as
conducting a six-part module
curriculum in selected National
schools on their understanding of
child sexual abuse. The results of
the findings would be submitted to
the Ministry of Education with the
aim of introducing a new curriculum
on CSA for all primary school
children (nine year olds).
The pilot project is called “Keeping
Me Safe.”
‘KEEPING ME SAFE’ PILOT PROGRAMME
The programme involved the
assessment of young school children
in selected national schools on
their understanding of CSA and
training of a six-model curriculum.
The findings of the assessment will
be submitted to the Ministry of
Education with the aim of proposing
a new course curriculum on CSA for
all primary school children (nine
year olds) in national schools.
